Set up by tutors for the benefit of both students and tutors, our primary goal is to ensure that we uphold the professional status of tutoring by providing excellent content & lessons in a supportive environment.
There are a number of ways to work with TeachAllAboutIT from being part of our tutoring team, to writing resources and publishing online courses, to provding feedback on practice papers. Whatever way you choose to work with us, you’ll be part of a supportive team of enthusiastic educators.
In order to tutor online at TeachAllAboutIT, you will need to have two or more of the following:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
– Over 100 hours tutoring experience (for tutors)
– A Subject Degree
– Formal examination experience
Our tutors all offer lessons online only, however should you wish to arrange offline lessons with a student for a specific reason, please discuss this with us.
For distance learning, tutors will provide an online class at an agreed time each week in addition to electronic written feedback.
Absolutely! If you are purely looking to create high quality pre-recorded content that is hosted on a tutor-specific platform, then we are more than happy to accomodate this.
Commission is a contentious issue within tutoring and the commission charged here covers the upkeep of the website, the licencing of the digital classroom tools, and the continued work that goes into advertising and SEO.
For tutors wishing to offer online tuition, or pre-recorded lessons / courses direct to students via TeachAllAboutIT as self-employed contractors, tutors retain 80% of any fee charged for lessons.
As all tutors are self-employed, they may choose the amount that they charge for these services and are under no obligation to charge a set fee.
For tutors / teachers creating practice papers (including the marking service), tutors are paid 75% royalties for any sale made of their resource.*
* 75% is calculated after afflilate payments are made. Where no affiliate link is used, the full 75% will be paid.
Tutors may choose to work as either self-employed contractors or under our PAYE scheme with a flexible hours contract. Where a tutor chooses to remain self employed, they are responsible for their own tax.
We are comitted to being fair employers, and offer a range of benefits for working with us including a committment to a living wage for all staff members.
You will be asked to confirm that you are eligible to work as a self employed person in the UK at time of application.
Tutors will be paid monthly on the last working day of each month via bank transfer for any completed lessons, purchased courses, eligible royalties for the previous month.
A full, downloadable statement of earnings is available to tutors via their staff profile to assist with tax declarations.
