TeachAllAboutIT – End User Licence Agreement

The following terms apply to both paid for and free resources and software provided on TeachAllAboutIT.school

By downloading resources or creating an account, you implicitly agree to comply with these terms & conditions. Please read this agreement carefully before downloading.

End User Licence Agreement for TeachAllAboutIT

This End-User License Agreement (EULA) is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and the mentioned author (TeachAllAboutIT Ltd.) of these resources for the teaching / learning products on this website, which includes computer software, teaching resources, and may include associated media, printed materials, and “online” or electronic documentation, paid or otherwise.

By downloading, copying, or otherwise using the resources from TeachAllAboutIT.school, you agree to be bounded by the terms of this EULA.

If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not download or use the resources / files available on this site.

SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE

All resources and website content free or paid remain the sole copyright of TeachAllAboutIt Ltd. with all rights reserved.

a) TeachAllAboutIT Free Resources (downloadable without a user account, or payment) will be clearly identified as such and is being distributed as Freeware for personal, non-profit organization, educational purpose.

b) The TeachAllAboutIT resources, free or paid, may not be distributed on any website or through any other distribution mechanism other than an internal intranet or VLE where access is restricted to your students.

You are NOT permitted to make a charge for distributing these documents (either for profit or merely to recover your media and distribution costs) whether as a stand-alone product, or as part of a compilation or anthology, nor to use it for supporting your business or customers.

1. GRANT OF LICENSE. This EULA grants you the following rights: Download and Use. You may download and use copies of the TeachAllAboutIT resources within the bounds of your account. Individual accounts may not be shared and your licence is restriced to the number of user accounts purchased.

a) Any user may download free resources under this EULA and these are identified clearly within the site.

b) Paid users may download any resource under this EULA whilst their subscription remains active (one payment covers a 12 month period) for individual use.

Reproduction and Distribution

You may reproduce a reasonable number of copies of the downloadable resources found within TeachAllAboutIT.school for the use of an individual account; provided that each copy shall be a true and complete copy, including all copyright and trademark notices, and for purposes other than direct distribution to students shall be accompanied by a copy of this EULA.

Copies of the downloadable resources found on TeachAllAboutIT.school website may be distributed to your students via their website login only. Copies may not be uploaded to an internal resource such as a VLE. The resources downloaded as part of your TeachAllAboutIt subscription may not be sold or included in a product or package that intends to receive benefits through the inclusion of the resources.

The free TeachAllAboutIT.school resources may be included in any free or non-profit packages or products where the logo & copyright details remain in tact and full attribution is given to TeachAllAboutIT Ltd.

DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS

Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, Disassembly and change (add,delete or modify) the resources or any provided software.

Where software is provided, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the downloaded proram, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.

Update and Maintenance
TeachAllAboutIT resources updates are FREE of charge for the duration of membership and will be automatically added to the website course that you have subscribed to.

Separation of Components.
The paid for TeachAllAboutIT courses and learning resources are licensed as either school wide, or personal use dependent on subscription. Under the personal membership licence, software & resources and their component parts may not be separated for use on multiple devices. Concurrent logins to the same account will result in automatic suspension of an account.

Software Transfer.
You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this EULA, provided the recipient agrees to the terms of this EULA.

Termination.
Without prejudice to any other rights, TeachAllAboutIT Ltd. or Holly Billinghurst as the primary author may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this EULA. In such event, you must destroy all copies of any resources held including teaching resources, software and all of its component parts.

3. COPYRIGHT

All title and copyrights in and to the downloaded resources and software from TeachAllAboutIT.school (including but not limited to any images, photographs, clipart, libraries, and examples incorporated into the resources), the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of the resources are owned by TeachAllAboutIT Ltd. and Holly Billinghurst as the primary Author.

The downloadable resources from TeachAllAboutIT are protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the downloadable resources like any other copyrighted material. The licensed users or licensed company can use all functions, example, templates, clipart, libraries and symbols in the resources to present teaching materials, or public presentations.

LIMITED WARRANTY

NO WARRANTIES.

TeachAllAboutIt as a site an on behalf of the software used, expressly disclaims any warranty for the downloadable TeachAllAboutIT resources. The resources and any related documentation is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties or merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of the resources or software remains with you.

NO LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES.

In no event shall the author of these resources be liable for any special, consequential, incidental or indirect damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use this product, even if TeachAllAboutIt is aware of the possibility of such damages and known defects.

In downloading resources from TeachAllAboutIT.school, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out in this End User Licence Agreement.

Data Privacy & GDPR

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Who is collecting your data?

Data collected by the TeachAllAboutIT Subscription & Membership is held by JQSMedis hosting on secure servers and is not shared with any other party.

For subscription / e-learning accounts, your personal data will not be shared unless concerns are raised under child protection where we have a duty of care to a child. In these circumstances, we have a duty of care to pass on the child’s details to the relevant authorities.

What Data is being collected?

Subscribers – we will hold your email address, name, and data on times you have visited the site & opened emails.

Members – we will hold your name, email, payments made (no card details are held as payments are made through PayPal or Stripe), and progress of the courses that you have undertaken.

What will we do with your data? Do we share data?

As a subscriber, your data may be used to send email newsletters informing you of new features, resources, and available courses (depending on options selected when you signed up).

Subscribed students will receive additional details via email of their progress, results of tests, and links to new lessons in their subscribed course.

Progress and access reports will be shared to class leaders (teacher / parent) as part of the primary account holder subscription.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitor comments are all checked through an automated spam detection service.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long is your data kept?

All data is kept for the purposes stated within these terms & conditions. Subscribers emails will be maintained on file until such time that the subscriber unsubscribes from the list.

Student’s lesson data is held for a period of up to 12 months following the end of subscription, unless deletion is specifically requested.

Payment details are maintained for 7 years by law for tax purposes. All payments are processed via PayPal or Stripe to protect the data security of website users.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

What rights to I have to see, change, or delete my data?

Subscribers, members, and students may request a digital copy of all data held about them by TeachAllAboutIT Ltd. We will provide a digital copy of this within 30 days of a written request to the email address held on file.

Subscribers, members, and students may make changes to their data through their account profile page and /or request an amendment to any personal details at any time to ensure that your data is correct and up to date.

Subscribers, members, and students may request deletion of their data under the right to be forgotten by submitting a written request. This data will be deleted within 30 days.

Excluded within this right to deletion are payment details and any data relating to child protection or legal concerns raised.

What can I do if I have a complaint?
