Throughout the 15 month course, through a fully qualified Maths teacher, our students develop their understanding of mathematical conepts and skills, develop a feel for numbers, patterns, and relationships, and will be able to apply these in a variety of contexts. Students will complete the course with practical evidence of the ability to reason, make inferences, and communicate using mathematical concepts. The Maths iGCSE allows our students to consider problems and develop appropriate strategies and interpret results, making this a useful course to combine with iGCSE Computer Science.
Courses have a starting date of February or September each year and last for 16 months, allowing students to sit exams in either January or May. This also allows our students the option to progress to a Further Maths class following their initial Maths GCSE.
For students who require a littla additional help each week, an additional study/revision class is available on Sunday evenings.

“The content of this redeveloped Cambridge IGCSE is very similar to our existing international syllabus. It includes topics not included in the new 9–1 GCSE such as Matrices, the practical use of statistics and an introduction to calculus. As such, it provides a strong basis to post-16 study in Mathematics and related subjects.“
Our distance learning program is already condensed into 42 weeks instead of the usual 68 week program. Whilst studying for an iGCSE in a year is certainly possible, a condensed program of study requires a more intensive approach and to achieve their best in 1 rather than 2 years, we would strongly suggest the route of one to one private tutoring for this approach.
